A Raleigh native, Jaime Humphries Davis joined Gailor, Wallis & Hunt, PLLC in 2001. Jaime’s practice incorporates all areas of family law, including complex equitable distribution and interstate child custody cases. Jaime is also a member of our appellate advocacy group. Jaime received both a Bachelor of Arts with distinction in Political Science and English, and her Juris Doctor from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is currently pursuing a Masters in Business Administration from East Carolina University. As an undergraduate, Jaime received the James M. Johnston and Hugh Morson Memorial scholarships. While in law school, Jaime studied family law extensively, taking numerous classes regarding complex domestic cases. Jaime also worked as a research assistant for Professor Buckner F. Melton, Jr. and was acknowledged in his 2002 publication, "Aaron Burr: Conspiracy to Treason." Jaime clerked for Clayton, Myrick, McClanahan & Coulter in Durham and Teague, Campbell, Dennis & Gorham in Raleigh. Jaime’s background in domestic law and research enables the firm to stay on the cutting edge of developments in family law. She is a member of the Wake County, North Carolina, and American Bar Associations and serves as Co-Chair of the YLD Bar Exam Committee. Jaime is also a member of the YLD Domestic Violence and Newsletter Committees and serves as an attorney volunteer for the UNC-CH Community Legal Project.
